WebMD has a pretty balanced article on ACV. http://www.webmd.com/diet/apple-cider-vinegar. In particular, look at the risks section on page 2 if you are considering using ACV regularly. For example, you don't want to ruin your tooth enamel, so follow your ACV with a couple drinks of water to get the residual acid out of your mouth and throat. Dilution does not alter pH and should not reduce any benefits from using ACV.
ACV is NOT alkaline, as stated in this article. It is an acid. Do some more research, don't rely on this article alone. In some cases reflux is actually due to low stomach acid, not excess acid. Search for "hypochloridia" and see if your symptoms match those of low stomach acid. In these cases taking additional acid can be beneficial. Betaine HCl is an example of another remedy that can be used to increase stomach acid. Do lots of research before you choose to follow advice from the internet - including this comment.
Hmmm interesting. I may have to give this a whirl.
