They say you can learn anything in New York City and they are right. If you like dance and are looking for something different, and if you are a bit adventurous, then think about taking Belly Dancing Lessons. It is great exercise and the cost is really minimal. It would be a great idea to get a group of friends and go together, it would kind of like having your own support group just in case you are a little timid about doing it on your own. Not to worry, though the teachers are very professional and they will put you at ease very quickly. It is a great way to learn about the culture of different countries. There is more than one style of Belly Dancing, each county and region has a style that reflects their history and couture. And just think of the amazement on the faces of your guests at your next dinner party when you demonstrate your new skill. Daniela teaches American Cabaret Bellydance. She teaches at five different locations in Queens New York. There is a calender on the site and the prices range from $12 a lesson. Try to make one of the sessions and see if it strikes your fancy.
Mariah, easterndancer.com, teaches in Brooklyn New York and she does private lessons also. Her beginner lessons last for eight weeks and there are also intermediate lessons.
Amira Iriz, danceamira.net has been dancing for ten years. She has two studios, one in her home and one in Midtown Manhattan at 64 East 34th Street, Studio #3B (between Madison and Park Avenues), New York, New York. Check out the schedule of classes and give her a call to find out what is still available. She puts shows together featuring her students, so you may be the star of a production.
Amara Al Amir, iworldartists.com, is a master teacher and has performed at the United Nations. Her studio is in Oceanside New York, and she has the schedule and prices on the web site. She also does private lessons.
