There is something therapeutic about doing pottery, working in the wet clay and transforming it into a work of art. If you are looking for something challenging and creative, you might want to consider taking pottery lessons. You can visit the studios before you make a commitment to take lessons and get a chance to see what the students create, meet with the instructors and find one who has the personality and style that you will feel comfortable with. You might also consider attending with a friend, kind of like the buddy system. And your own private support group and critic. Who know, maybe you will progress far enough to have your work entered in a show or two. Earthworks Pottery at 1705 First Avenue (88th St.)
