Don't get me wrong, network marketing is a fantastic business. It is one of the fastest growing industries and also the most promising. If you are looking for a great business opportunity and a fantastic product, always start looking for a network marketing company. Furthermore I've been involved in this industry for a few years and my journey continues to be exciting.

However, for first timers who have thought of venturing into network marketing, I'm sure that you have heard many good stories told by the industry leaders. Don't get me wrong, most of these stories are true and have supporting facts behind them.

On the other hand, there are major factors that some of these industry leaders failed to mention and the baton has been passed to me to tell you some deadly secrets in network marketing.

1. Drop out rate - It is a fact that in any industry there is a drop out rate - people who quit, which is pretty similar to people who resign from a company. For network marketing, you will need to balance this out. People who joined under you are your assets. Failure to grow and maintain your asset will land you back to square one. Either you maintain your people or continuously grow your team to substitute those who have fallen or quit. The amount of new people joining under you must contrast people who quit the business.

2. Not everyone can be successful - Yes, only the brightest and the best will survive in this industry. A person who has great linguistic skills as well as people handling skill will most likely appear as the champion. Although this is not 100% true, a person who has a burning desire to succeed will most likely be successful in the industry as well. But not everyone that I met has this desire. It is a fact that a large portion of the community just want to live a 'normal life'. If everyone that you met is a leader, there will be no poverty and unemployment.
