I've been sitting right where you are now, sitting in front of the computer reading articles about how other stay-at-home moms found ways to turn their skills into work at home professions. I never thought I could be successful from home. I have no time management skills, no drive, no ambition, and no self-motivation. Freelance Writer. Have you ever written a public service announcement (PSA), newspaper article bragging about your children's Scout Troop or Sport Team? Have you helped with the PTA's newsletter? Any one of these is a Freelance Writing Skill. There are many opportunities for Freelance Writers right now. Contact your local newspapers, city magazine, businesses that have newsletters and check out online writing sites. If books are more your style, collect all your poetry, short stories or write a new book and self-publish it. Just imagine how good you will feel about yourself after publishing your first book!
