Five Activities to Get Out and Enjoy the Arrival of Spring

It's March and that means that springtime is just around the corner. Before you know it, it will be April and all those snow storms and winter rains will be things of the past as the trees finally start to bloom and the birds return. Spring time is great like that, and with comes the itching desire to get up and out of the house.

For those of you that find spring a burden because your winter mentality is hard to break and finding good spring time activities to get out and do is hard, here are a few good ideas for getting up out of the divot in the couch you've been working on so hard since September and enjoying your city's spring weather.

Baseball games
Baseball season is upon us once more, and what better representation of Spring than the ball field. A baseball game is the perfect place to go on a warm spring evening to enjoy the weather and be with your family or friends and it's not nearly as expensive as some other sports outings.

The best part about a ball game is that if you can't make it one night, you just pack it up and try again the next. For those that wait for summer to whip out your mitts and ball caps and pack the family down to the diamond, consider heading out a couple months earlier this year and letting the arrival of baseball season settle on you with the arrival of spring.

Bike Rides
It's the best time of the year for cyclists. For those that have hidden away their bicycles since the end of September or for those that have sloughed through mud and rain for four months, it's finally time to whip back out your bicycle and start loosening up those hamstrings. It's also a great way to get back in shape before the summer rolls around. What's better than good clean exercise and a good time in the nice weather to remind you that the winter is finally behind us.
