Losing weight is not an easy task. It requires committment, will power, and a whole lot of discipline. Not to mention exercise. But it is possible to lose weight, and there are many resources available to help one lose the weight. But are they free? And are they all on one place? Sparkpeople.com is all of that. Like many people trying to lose weight, I was searching online for resources. Since my giving birth to my son, I've gained 25 pounds that I haven't been able to shake (it may have something to do with my relatively sedentary lifestyle), but I felt like reading up on the basics of weight loss would be of great help and motivation. When I stumbled on Sparkpeople.com, I just couldn't believe it. I felt like I struck weight loss gold!
First off, it's free to join. To create an account, you will need a valid e-mail address. Who doesn't have one of those? You will also need basic info like your country and date of birth. I suppose that is to prove that your atleast eighteen. The only downside is I don't think you can join if you have diabetes or are breastfeeding. A disclaimer has to be signed saying that you checked in with your physician before embarking on the weight loss program, and that any responsibilty health related falls on you. This is basically a technicality so that the company doesn't get sued.
