On Sunday May 4th, 2009 Donald Trump fired three people on The Celebrity Apprentice. After last weeks drama of Melissa getting fired and Joan storming out. Donald had most likely had enough of this season's fussy celebrities.
The episode started with the suspense of not knowing if Joan Rivers would show up for the next task. After everyone, including Donald Trump enter. Joan makes a dramatic entrance, announcing she had a hard time with traffic. She stated she didn't want to let her team down. Good grief.
Donald Trump announces the next task. Chicken of the Sea wants a new jingle and a 30 second radio commercial. This should have been a no brainer for team KOTU, with Jessie and Joan taking on the commercial and good ole Clint Black tackling the jingle. This left Annie and Brande in the depths of doom, knowing one of them must be the next to be fired.
In the car, on the way to the music studio, the girls team showed the world how doomed they really were. Neither had a lick of music ability and Brande couldn't stop laughing to get any ideas out.
Back at Team KOTU, Clint did what Clint does, which is take over the task, and act like he's listening to his teammates ideas, when in reality he is only listening to the voice in his head. Clint makes a slow country song, not really a jingle, more like a song for Chicken of The Sea. Jesse and Joan decide the actors they hired could not do the commercial spot as well as they could themselves and took over. It was a good thing, Clint was so engrossed in his music, he didn't have any input in the commercial.
The girls team, somehow, and very surprisingly came up with a great jingle. It was catchy and everyone was bobbing their heads with the beat. Their commercial spot was great as well. It hit all the points the executives of Chicken of the Sea wanted. Big shocker, the girls win it and KOTU is sent to the board room. Annie actually cries because she is so proud of herself. She wrote a song.
