Crystal elixirs are nothing more than water that has been imbued with the spiritual energy of crystals. They can be made and used by anyone and will not interfere with any other traditional or non-traditional therapies. They are useful for restoring physical, emotional and spiritual balance, for obtaining new levels of consciousness and for attuning the physical body with the spiritual realm. Crystal elixirs are not healing in and of themselves, but by aiding the user in balancing and increasing energy and awareness they can aid in creating a state of mind/body balance that increases the effectiveness of other therapies.A crystal elixir is quite easy to make and requires nothing but the most basic equipment. The primary elements needed are a clear glass bowl (or a quartz crystal bowl if one is available), distilled water, a patch of sunlight (can be in or outdoors) and the chosen crystal. The crystal is placed in the bowl, covered with distilled water, and left in the sunlight (and/or moonlight) for a minimum of twenty-four hours. The resulting crystal elixir is suitable for daily consumption as a tonic. It should be stored in a dark glass bottle in a cool, dark place and consumed within days of being made.
An even more potent crystal elixir can be made by placing the bowl containing the distilled water and crystal in a patch of sunlight on the day of the full moon and left in place for seven days. The bowl is then transferred to a dark location and surrounded by seven additional crystals of the same type or seven quartz crystals. At the end of the second seven day period, the resulting elixir may be mixed with one ounce of brandy or vodka. The addition of the alcohol will help stabilize the very potent energies of the crystal elixir. Many alternative medicine practitioners and holistic healers call this type of crystal elixir a "Mother Elixir." Since a Mother Elixir is extremely concentrated, it is best used by placing just one to three drops under the tongue. A Mother Elixir should be stored in a dark glass bottle (brown or amber is preferred to filter out light) in a cool, dark place.
