How to Get Rid of Ants
Nobody wants to have an ant problem in their house. The reason that the ants are inside is because they are searching for food. They will come into your home, find food, and return to their nest. They most likely have a large nest outside and then a smaller nest inside your home. Each ant
will follow the ant before it by following the scent trail. If you can get rid of the trail then the ants will become lost. I would suggest checking to see if there is any food on the floor and vacuuming on a regular basis. Ants even invade the cleanest of all homes. It's very difficult to get rid of an ant problem.
You could try to use vinegar and use it to mop the floors and spray it on areas you've seen the ants on. You could also try using febreeze and all spray on the carpeting to get rid of the ant trails. You can also use bay leaves. Bay leaves have been used by many people trying to get rid of ants. They work well if you can leave them there for a long period of time. I would recommend going outside and looking for the larger nest. Once you find the nest wait until around noon and dump steaming hot water into the ant hill.
You could also use cream of wheat. You may try chalk if they are somewhere you can draw on. Some people say that if you take an ant and draw a chalk box around him he will not move even after 24 hours. It's hard to find an area where you can use chalk though. I would recommend trying different chemicals or ingredients to try and get rid of the ants.
You can also buy bait houses with food for the ants to take back to the nest. Leave the bait house by the area where you see the ants. They will take pieces and take it back to the large nest and it will kill off the whole colony. I would try something more natural before you bring bait houses into a home with pets or small children. It's very hard to get rid of ants and it will take some patience but eventually one of the things above will help you get rid of them.
