Christian Leader Says Ford Motor Company Quietly Dropping Its Support for the Homosexual Agenda

The leader of a Christian ministry says Ford Motor Company is quietly dropping its support of the homosexual agenda. American Family Association (AFA) founder and Chairman Don Wildmon noted the motor company has dropped sponsorship of an awards show held by the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLADD). He said that this action, along with others, demonstrates that the motor company may be rethinking its open stand in favor of homosexual rights.

Wildmon says the move by Ford is a response to a direct boycott by AFA, other pro-family groups, and many Americans, in response to the open support of the homosexual agenda.

The AFA website, www.afa.net, noted that Ford has for years advertised in the homosexual publications, Out and The Advocate but that company has not advertised in the magazine since January. It also noted the Ford had supported the homosexual agenda for years by annually supporting the GLADD awards-until this year. The website also noted that at of all the other homosexual events that Ford has sponsored in the past, it did not support any lately.

The website noted that Ford had been supporting the homosexual agenda, but since the boycott of Ford began, not one homosexual group had offered its public support to Ford.

The website claimed homosexual groups have remained silent about Ford's actions this year, fearful that other groups may take similar actions. The website also made speculations about whether Ford may be silently giving financial support to the homosexual groups. It speculated the groups may be willing to be ignored publicly by the automaker.

The website noted that in February the carmaker's sales went down 13.5% compared to a year ago, and sales for Ford have consistently gone down since it has been boycotted.

The family association has often noted on its website incidents it believes when Ford has supported the homosexual agenda on television by sponsoring shows that are detrimental to the family, particularly children. One that was mentioned was a January 16^th episode of the show, Dirt, on the FX channel.
