BumGenius 2.0: The Best Cloth Diaper for Two Under Two

Being the full time stay at home mother that I am and having two sons under the age of two, saving money by any means possible is my daily goal. Recently I made what I expected to be a tough transition, and switched from disposable diapers to cloth. At first weary, I sought out the
counsel of many experienced cloth diapering mommas from public parenting forums and together we decided that the best diaper for my situation would be the new bum Genius 2.0. These diapers are what is referred to as "one size" diapers and fit babies in the weight range of 8-35 pounds, seemingly perfect for having multiple children in diapers.
After comparing prices, I placed an order at Cotton Babies (http://www.cottonbabies.com) for 24 diapers. I figured 12 diapers per child would be plenty to get me started. A few days passed and soon my diapers arrived. I was very pleased at the ease of adjusting to cloth the bum Genius 2.0 provided, even for a cloth diapering novice like me. The buttons on the front of the diaper were very simple to snap to resize for each child, and quickly done too, which is very important when you have a squirming, naked baby. The velcro tabs are just as easy to attach as any disposable diaper as well, making them very father friendly. Seeing my sons' tiny bums in a colored diaper has been a nice touch too, might I add.

One of my favorite aspect of these pocket diapers is how quickly they dry. They dry on medium heat, but even so they're done and ready to use again very quickly.

My only complaint with the bum Genius 2.0 diaper is the lack of padding around the tabs. Every leak we've had (which hasn't been many) has leaked around the tabs due to the lack of padding in that area. Obviously this would easily be prevented with more frequent diaper changes, but it's still a bit of a problem for long car drives and such. Overnight this problem is overcome with doubling the liner in the diaper.

All in all my experience with bum Genius 2.0 diapers has been a very positive one...easy on my babies' bums and good to my wallet!
