Men should be as concerned about their health as they are about their hobbies, sports and careers. It's never too late to drop harmful practices and develop healthy habits. By making small, measurable changes daily, the goal of enjoying a healthier life is much easier to reach.Go for 30.
Each day, spend at least 30 minutes on exercise. If you find that this takes too much of your time, spread out by performing 10-minute exercises 3 times a day, spread out in the morning, noon and evening. The importance of exercise cannot be emphasized enough. It doesn't only help you maintain a good physique, it also keeps your heart healthy and strong, lowering your risk of a heart attack.
Size matters.
No matter what they tell you, when it comes to your body, size matters. This means taking a closer look at your diet and serving portions. Depending on your height and body weight, watch the calories that you eat and keep to sensible meal portions. Avoid eating out as much; keep your take-outs and pizza deliveries to a minimum, ideally once or twice a month. And if you do find yourself in a drive-thru, don't supersize.
Ditch the soda, drink water instead.
No matter how good they taste, sodas are really just water, sugar, flavoring and some fizz, all wrapped up in clever packaging. Whatever refreshment you get from them is really just temporary. Whenever you're thirsty, go for a glass of water instead.
Drink as much as you can, at least 8 glasses within a 24-hour period. More, if you've been sweating a lot. Water not only keeps your cells hydrated and your body refreshed, it also helps flush away harmful toxins.
Feed on fiber.
Not all carbs should be banned from your diet. Some carbs, such as oatmeal, whole wheat bread, brown rice and whole grains are full of fiber. These sources of good carbohydrates help increase and sustain your energy and aid in the elimination of body waste. They also contain important vitamins and minerals that the body can use and lower blood cholesterol. Other than that, fiber also makes you feel fuller so you don't eat more.
Avoid nicotine.
