Sixth Grade Students Have Sex in Class with Teacher Present

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIAN - Two sixth grade middle school students at Raymond Park Middle School have been reported to have had sexual activity in a shop class at the school, nearly four months ago, while the teacher was in class, and other students stood as lookouts.

The incidence was not reported immediately, having happened in November, but parents are just now discovering this event occurred. No one with the school appears to be commenting, even after a news television investigation revealed evidence about the incident, on why the incident was not reported and parents of the other children were not informed their child may have witnessed this sexual act. Most parents, according to local television news reports in Indiana, found out about the incidence from the Drudge Report Online. (http://www.drudgereport.com/)

The investigation and report of the incident appears to have begun with a local Indiana News Station, 12 Eyewitness News, who received what they have claimed was an anonymous letter from a local resident who had learned of the incident and who, in the letter, claimed the teachers and staff were told to keep the incident quiet.

Parents are outraged. In television interviews with the local news station, and broadcast also on CNN.com, parents are asking to know where the teacher was, who has been reported to have been in the room at the time the sexual activity occurred, and why the teacher did not report it or intervene, or if the teacher was even aware. Parents also want to know why they were not informed this had occurred, especially those parents whose students were in that particular class and may have observed the sexual activity taking place.

The superintendent of the school district where this occurred has confirmed the incident did happen, confirmed the teacher was in the classroom at the time, and even told 13 Investigates, a local news station, that another child acted as a lookout for the two students involved in the sexual activity. An unidentified insider reported that as many as 10 children may have witnessed the act, which disputes the superintendents claims.
