Is Jon's and Kate's relationship broken forever?

Is the recent scandal with Jon and Kate Plus 8 just a hoax? This question is one I've been asking myself over the past few weeks. Why? The whole way the scandal is being handled feels strange.
Scandalous behavior?
For those of you who don't know, Jon and Kate Gosselin (and their 8 children) are the stars of TLC's Jon and Kate Plus 8. Recently, Jon was allegedly seen out late at night with a 23-year-old school teacher, Deanna Hummel. Rumors are flying all over the Internet and on gossip shows that they are lovers. It's a scandal that could potentially ruin his marriage to Kate. So, people are wondering what's next.
What's wrong?
What's wrong with this whole Jon and Kate biz is everything. Besides the fact that docile Jon doesn't appear to be the cheating type, cougar Kate is no kitty. If you ever watch the way she talks to Jon on their TLC show, you know this is true. So, why is she so calm now? Kate FULLY appears to be the type (to me) that would have no problem with blasting a cheating husband. So, could the whole affair be just one big hoax?
It is possible that the Jon and Kate scandal was created by TLC and their producers to draw interest for the upcoming season. The new season starts soon and a well-crafted scandal will definitely bring back old viewers and new ones.
The only other excuse for Kate's calm response - in my opinion - to the news of an alleged affair is either complete denial or all of the cash she'd lose if the two split.
What now?
Well, the only thing to do now is to wait for the new season of Jon and Kate Plus 8 to start. It will be then that viewers will be able to see any change in Jon and Kate's relationship. It's sure to start a lot of Internet buzz and keep viewers coming back for more.

After seeing last nite, I feel it's a big hoax to get more ratings. They probably had this planned all along. But I feel that it's something that Kate dreamed up not TLG.

I don't know. I think I would be acting the exact same way. If I thought the rumors might be true I would be steaming on the inside but keeping a calm front to the media. No need to get emotional and stressed out in front of everyone...because then we will have more tabloid fodder about the emotional outburst. You really can't win with celebrity-ism.
