Keep Church Out of Government

Our forefathers had it right with they created separation of church and state. They could foresee all the problems that would incur if religion had too much say in government. Today it seems like there are so many issues coming up that the religious sect is trying to impose their beliefs upon. This country was founded on freedom from religion as much freedom of religion and it is time to begin to reign in the far left republicans that have been using the presidential office as a personal religious pulpit.

Being religious is a great thing, but come on now, everyone has the right to their own beliefs. People would be much better off concentrating on things like the Iraq war, which was based on a total lie, and is killing our brave soldiers for a projected outcome that will never be, instead of arguing about two same gender adults who love each other and want to get married. They deserve to have the same rights as every other married couple. The court in Massachusetts made a sound decision based on our constitution, and civil rights. Why keep trying to get it a vote of the people. When did civil rights become victim of popular vote?

Americans please focus on utilizing natural resources of energy, and global warming. We are destroying our world and it is time to wake up and stop denying that all the harmful emissions have no significant effect on the environment. That is more important then a woman who decides she needs to have an abortion. People are so busy finding fault in the smaller issues that they lose sight of the REAL issues facing all of us today.
