Summer Events at the Bronx Zoo in NYC

The Bronx Zoo in NYC is one of the most famous in the world. With over 4,000 animals in their natural habitats like the rain forest, there is enough to see to keep you busy for more and just a one day summer visit. And this summer they have some great family events for NYC residents and visitors alike. The Bronx Zoo NYC is a great place to visit all summer long, but when you combine the regular activities with these special summer events you and you children will be making a memory that will last a lifetime. Mother's Day NYC Weekend Events May 12-13
Celebrate Mother's Day with the Mother's at the zoo and get up close and personal with them and their children. It is a great opportunity to learn how the zoo's moms take care of their little ones and they will have some great special activities at these events also.

Royal Caribbean International is sponsoring one of the unique events at the Bronx Zoo NYC on May 19-20, Royal Caribbean has cruises world wide and you can go on a special trip around the zoo and visit animals that live where Royal Caribbean goes. The event is called Cruise the Zoo and is the fastest world wide cruise you will ever take.

Dad's Day Out June 16-17
Mom had her day, now it is Dad's turn. To celebrate Father's Day, the keepers will have the animals playing with their favorite toys, putting on a special show to rival that of any circus.

Come to the giant Sea Lion Celebration and Party Events. The sea lions have been visiting. Their home at the Bronx Zoo NYC, Astor Court has been re built and it is ready for them to come home. At the Sea Lion Homecoming Weekend June 30-July 1 and July 7-8 you are invited to their coming home events. Special musical performances, crafts, story time, and sea lion feedings are just part of the fun in store. And The Astor Court Renaissance events on July 14-15 and 21-22 are a trip back in time to the early 1900's in NYC with costumed entertainers. Take some time to stroll around Astor Court and admire the resident peacocks as well as the ever entertaining sea lions.
