Clerks II Shows the Fun Side of Fast Food

It May Seem like a Crude Movie at First, but Clerks II Truly Has Inspiring Messages

Clerks II is a comedy that was written by Kevin Smith, whom also plays the character of "Silent Bob". Clerks II was completed and shown in 2006, and was a sequel to the hit movie "Clerks".

As soon as the Clerks II opens up, Dante (Brian O`Halloran), one of the main characters, is going to the Quick Stop where he works to simply open. Upon opening the shudders to the store he notices that the store is heavily ablaze on the inside. Before you know it, Dante calls 911, and the
firemen rush to the scene. The scene fades into Dante sitting down, watching the firemen empty out the Quick Stop, the job most of his life had been devoted to was now burnt nearly to the ground, and wouldn't be reopened in his mind. Soon we meet Randal (Jeff Anderson), Dante's best friend and fellow co-worker whom workers directly next to the Quick Stop at RST Video. Comically Randal walks into the burnt building while reading a paper, not noticing his surroundings he is finally shoved out by a fireman.

Skip forward in time with the movie, and you will see that Dante and Randal both work at a new job named "Mooby's", a fantasy styled restaurant that takes after the McDonalds type of environment. At this new job Dante and Randal have to endure new problems and situations such as dealing with their new super nerdy co-worker Elias (Trevor Fehrman), dealing with bad customers on a daily basis, and poking fun at their new gorgeous manager Becky (Rosario Dawson).

Apparently it is Dante's last day at Mooby's, as he is moving from New Jersey to Florida with his soon-to-be wife, Emma (Jennifer Schwalbach). Once this is heard Randal decides to plan a going away party for Dante. But what turns into what seems a nice going away party quickly turns into a disaster.

As you progress in Clerks II you will meet many other characters such as Silent Bob's best friend Jay (Jason Mewes), Dante and Randals high school millionaire friend Lance Dowds (Jason Lee), and even a short part by a customer who has made other appearances in Kevin Smith's other movies (Ben Affleck). Other appearances include Wanda Sykes and Kevin Weisman.

I love Clerks and the Jersey series. Good review, while I was a little bummed about parts of the ending the very end was the part that made me throw my hands up with joy! I love the milk lady!

I was horrified by the ending, but I loved this. It was a great sequel. I love Jay & Silent Bob. And Dante was much less whiny and annoying in this one; that was refreshing. In the last movie he was just "I'm not even supposed to be here today!" all the time. Call the waaahhmbulance!
