Making a living as a writer is not always easy, especially if you are a freelance writer. However, if you are able to craft your pieces to be suitable for publishing online you can make a pretty good living. Associated Content is one Internet company that has provided great opportunities for online writers to make a good living as well as provide valuable content for web surfers. Recently Associated Content has begun to pay a performance based bonus to its writers, which should help many online writers make more money doing what they love.

What is the Associated Content Performance Bonus?

If you are already a writer who has been published on Associated Content then you know that this site typically pays you a small stipend for each article that it accepts. In the past this was the only compensation that writers received, except for the occasional clout bonus or special performance bonus. Recently, however, Associated Content has launched a new performance bonus that is based on how many page views your content receives.

How the Performance Bonus Works

Your performance bonus is based on a payment per thousand view formula. This means that you will receive money for every thousand page views your material receives. For example if the currently PPM rate is $0.21 and you have 300,000 page views then your performance bonus will be worth $0.21 X 300 or $63.00. As you can see you will need to produce very popular material in order to get rich with this program, however, if you put in the effort to consistently produce quality content for Associated Content you can add one or two hundred extra dollars to your income each month. You should also note that your bonus needs to be worth at least $15 in order for AC to post a payment to your Paypal account.

Thanks for the tips! I encourage readers to look into eHow as eHow earnings are even higher than those cited here.
