In the weight-obsessed society that we live in, it certainly is not surprising that there is an infinite number of diets aimed at reducing pounds quickly. Somewhere around spring time, the New Years' Resolutions of the "fit and furious" seem to lose their luster. As they fall by the wayside, so do the diets. And what do you know? You're back to Square One, with more pounds you had then when you started. It's really hard to stick to diets. It seems that everyone has opinions about the way one should lose weight and keep it off. It's a common agreement that one's lifestyle must undergo certain changes in order to facilitate healthy eating habits. But no one ever explains exactly how to make that change---until now...

  • DON'T TRY TO GO "COLD TURKEY' OFF FAST FOOD. - Everyone knows that attempting to change behavior patterns overnight is virtually impossible. Truly disciplined people may have no problem sacrificing certain items from their diet. But if you're not one of those people, it's best to take baby steps.

DO ALTER YOUR FAST-FOOD ORDER. - You can still eat a little fast-food without feeling an extraordinary amount of guilt. But instead of ordering the Big Mac, Super-Sized fries, and gargantuan beverage, downgrade your choices; cut the fries, replace them with chips, reduce your drink size, and order a smaller sized burger. Better yet, order a burger with a salad instead of fries. You'd be surprised how much fuller you can feel on less food.

  • DON'T SKIP THE SWEETS. - Again, going completely cold turkey is not going to do you any good. Removing sweets entirely from your diet in the beginning, will only cause you to crave them more.
