I have heard people from all walks of life call out to God when something bad happens. Even the ones to confess not to believe in God. So who is God? Is he something that people put into their pocket and hide. Then when something bad happens they pull him out?

Is he a stone with a face of a eagle or bear? Is he a statue like a totem pole that people bow down to? Who is God? Do you think of God has a religious symbol that you were taught about when you were a child?

God to me is the peace and joy of waking up everyday and being thankful that I'm alive. He is the joy that floods my souls when I thank him. God is my friend, peacemaker, he is the redeemer of my soul.

He is the one who shed light in my dark hateful heart. I had hate for just about every human. From years of living in this world and people taking advantage of me and controlling my life. Hate for the evil things I have seen. Not realizing that I was part of the problem.

I was blinded by my sin and not wanting to admit I was wrong. God is the one who took his time and softened my heart to hear him plead for my soul. He forgave me and washed my soul clean. I feel like a new person on the inside. I feel clean, love, compassion for others.

God to me is the one who woke me up when I fell asleep at the wheel while driving. I was headed for a big cliff which I would not have survived from.

God is the one who blessed me with the gift of a child; even though I was living in sin. He is the one that lets me wake up everyday and watch my son grow. I see him in my son. I see him when my son smiles and says, " I love you mommy."

God is the one that has given me a reason to live. He has given me a purpose to be in this world. He is the one who comforts me when I am hurting.... lonely ...... and afraid.

He is my provider in time time financial need. He heals my body when I'm hurting or sick. God to me is seen through the smile of a humble heart reaching out to help others. Never complaining when things go wrong, never judging one another and loving no matter what. He is the heart that searches out to those in need.

God to me is seen in the spring time, the dew that rests on the roses that are justing starting to bloom. He is the sweet smelling
fragrance of a honey suckle.
