News has broke that former "American Idol" finalist Mario Vasquez is being sued for allegedly tying to masturbate in front of a male employee. The incident reportedly happened in a bathroom on the set of "American Idol" in 2005. The lawsuit was discovered after it was filed earlier today by the male employee's lawyer.
Magdaleno Olmos, assistant account for Fremantle Media, the company that produces American Idol, claims that Mario Vasquez "sexually harassed" him. Olmos claims that "Vazques stared lasciviously, smiled lasciviously and on one occasion followed him into a bathroom ... knocked on the door of Olmos' stall and made eye contact through the space in the stall door." TMZ.com reports that Vazquez next started to rub his genitals over his pants. Olmost attempted to leave the bathroom by opening up the stall door. He then saw Vasquez standing in front of him with his pants down masturbating.
It appears that Vazquez also tried to force Olmos into partaking in some sort of sexual activity. As Olmos tried to leave the bathroom, he was pushed back into the stall by Vazquez. He continued to masturbate while trying to pull Olmos' pants down. This is where Vazquez reportedly asked Olmos if he would like to receive oral sex. Olmos ran out of the bathroom as quickly as he could. Vazquez attempted to keep him in the bathroom by grabbing Olmos' arm, but Olmos managed to get away. Vazquez remained in the bathroom calling for Olmos to return.
Calls to Vazquez have currently gone unanswered. The American Idol contestant mysteriously dropped out of the show in 2005. This may of been the reason that he left the show. The producers may of found out about the incident and wanted to keep it quiet. Vazquez most likely left the show in order to save himself from possible retaliation. Olmos would like Vazquez and FOX Entertainment to get what they deserve. He is suing FOX, Vazquez, and Freemantle Media for wrongful termination.

continue.... Whoever thought Mario was going to be the next latin sensation really made the biggest mistake in his music career as an executive (and lost tons of money as well).
Ironically, Clive Davis doors are closed for any talented artist (latin or not) to submit his/her music. He isn't listening to anything unless is coming from his "buddies" (a la Ne-yo, R. Kelly, Stargate, Fernando Garibay, scott storch, a very few lawyers, etc). Hopefully Mr. Davis learned this lesson and open his mind a bit to make a good change in the must needed music business.

Some of you said Mario Vazquez is a hot pop "star" (!!#?)but reality is he hasn't sell much Cds, his career is a big failure (less than 60,000 albums sold). he is definetly not popular and this lawsuit ain't gonna make him a mainstream music product.Besides if you filed a lawsuit you must have some kind of proof to make your case and remember Mario is not the only one involved in the suit, there are two big companies involved as well so Magdaleno and his lawyer have something to show in court. Those companies (American Idol, etc) have top dollars lawyers to protect them so something was going on in the show for this to re-surface.
Mario recorded with guitarist Cesar a few years ago on a cd called worlds of change. The album was great(sold 200,000 copies as an independent cd) but Mario distanced himself from that type of songwriting and follow Clive Davis advice. The result was a mediocre album with lots of big names writer/producers that did not reach mass appeal and sounded poor. Who

Hopefully the truth will come out. If this is a true accusation, Mario should get what he deserves.
When and for WHAT was Olmos terminated? This would be the key to his lawsuit against Fox and Freemantle Entertainment. Why didn't he file charges a long time before now against this Vasquez? This sounds like Olmos wants his 15 minutes of fame and this is the only way he can get it? So we know it's a he said - he said, buncha BS probably.

If you do the crime you have to do the time. Mario will not go any farther than some public appearance in the park. He will never sell out Madison Square or any other venue. He is not a super talent as he says he is. Boring, I'd say. I wouldn't go to a Mario concert if you gave me free tickets.

It is true or the guy wouldn't make a case nationaly. He did do it and people knew about it on Idol and they tried to cover it up until the guy lost his job for coming out about it. Mario, it's ok to be gay just own up to it. His video is a joke "gallery" he wants the guy not the girl. To be truthful the guy in the video "gallery" looks way better than him anyways. He is cheesy lookin.

I knew he was gay. I live in NYC and used to see him at various clubs hittin on the guys and the strippers. This was back in 1990 and then he went on to try to become a star and he stopped hagin out and started to pretend to be stra8. I think he is a joke. He left idol so he could avoid the gay gossip that was going to come out.
He is not that great of a singer and he can't dance. He also is a tackey dresser. He is really concerned about losing his hair. He is goin bald. Ha the truth always comes out in the end!
OMG! That is outrageous! Good luck to the male employee on proving anything. I am certainly interested in hearing what happens next. Thanks! 5. :o)
