As many of us know, ordering decorated cakes from the grocery stores or specialty cake shops are expensive. The more people you plan to feed, the larger the cake, and the price will become higher.

How do people decide on prices for different cakes. Just a basic cake? My sister and I are starting a home business doing wedding and event cakes and pastries and we have no idea how to decide on a price list. Obviously we don't want to under charge, but we want to make money as well... If anyone has any suggestions... our web address is www.myspace.com/gooderinbaderin

I'm not sure how cake decorators ever make a profit! I would love to do it but I don't think you can get your money out of what you make. Thanks for the info.
