Yesterday as the wife and I went to the grocery store I saw a magazine with one of the actresses on the cover. It was at this point that I came to a realization of my own. I don't know which one is which, either. Therefore I decided to do some research to finally clear up this confusion once and for all. Thanks to Wikipedia I now feel like I have a grasp on which (K)Cate is which.
Blanchett spells her first name "Cate."
Winslett spells her first name "Kate."
Cate Blanchett was born in Melbourne, Australia.
Kate Winlsett was born in Reading, Berkshire, England.
Cate Blanchett has an older brother and an younger sister.
Kate Winslett has two sisters. Both of them are actresses.
Cate Blanchett married a playwright and a screenwriter. The young couple has two children and they live in Australia.
Kate Winslett married a director in 1998. They had a daughter in October of 2000. In 2001 the couple divorced. Winslett married a different director in May of 2003 and they have a three-year old son.
Cate Blanchett played Elizabeth I in the movie Elizabeth. She is actually playing the same role in a sequel that is coming out sometime this year.
Kate Winslett played Pricesss Sarah in A Kid in King Arthur's Court.
Kate Winslett is somewhat of a successful singer. She had a number one song in Ireland off the soundtrack for Christmas Carol: The Movie.
Cate Blanchett is not known for singing now and most likely never will be. We the people thank her now for not attempting to sing.
