The New York New York hotel and casino in Las Vegas is one of the most visited locations in all of Las Vegas. It is an architectural wonder that can be considered as beautiful, wondrous, intimidating, or gaudy.

When staying at New York New York, the standard rooms will run you an average of about $120 a night during the week, and about $210 a night on the weekend.

The casino theme is what will bring many visitors to New York New York every year. The same theme will scare many people away. Out of all of the Vegas casinos, the New York theme at this casino is the most prevalent. There is not a single location on the property that will not remind you that you are in New York New York.

From the outside, you will see that the building itself screams New York. All of the major landmarks of the city have been rebuilt here on a smaller scale. It is not hard to pick out the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, the Bridge, or the Statue of Liberty. The first time that I ever saw the compression of all of these landmarks, I thought that it was intimidating. After seeing this monstrosity a few more times, I realized the beauty that it was meant to convey.

Once you enter the casino, you may find yourself overwhelmed by the theme. On the casino floor, you will notice that there are landmarks that are represented inside the building. It will be easy to pick out the New York Stock Exchange and Grand Central Station.

If you walk to the food court, you will find yourself in the middle of a New York neighborhood. The walls are lined with brick buildings that are full of shops and apartments. While eating, you may want to even try to enter one of these apartments through the fire escape staircases that come close to the floor. I would not suggest doing this because I saw two people get kicked out of the casino for this.

If you are staying on the property, prepare for a decent wait at the check-in desk. You will see that there is a long counter for checking in, with many service locations. These are only open during peek times on the weekend. Usually, there will only be two or three people working the counter at any given time. I have heard of waits here taking up to an hour.

Thorough review, this. Still, if I ever do come back to the US, it will be to check out Excalibur. I've been to NY numerous times and won't be spending my tourist moolah at an imitation. heh.... but cheesy knights and fake jousting? Oh yeah baby, that's what I'm talkin about...
