In my opinion, nothing would be more special to mom than if you got all the siblings together with their families and had someone take some nice digital camera pictures.
You will want some of everyone and some of each individual family. You will want some of just the grandkids and some of just the siblings.
Once you have the pictures you will choose the ones you like best and get frames. Depending on your budget, you can go from very fancy to dollar store and anywhere in between.
You could make the one of everyone huge and make the rest smaller to form a nice grouping where the large one is the center and the rest will surround the larger one on mom's wall.
Once you have the pictures finished you could take some of the better shots you did not use along with some old pictures and burn them onto a DVD with mom's favorite music in the background.
Another thing you could do is make her a nice scrapbook with the remaining pictures, being sure to include some older pictures to show how much everyone has changed.
Have everyone write a short note to mom/grandma letting her know how much they love her and put their note under their picture on a page of it's own. This would be a very special touch.
If you cannot get everyone in your family together you can still do a lot of these ideas with just your family or even with just the old pictures if need be.
If you don't have a way to take pictures you could always burn mom a special CD with all her favorite songs combined on one CD.
If you can afford to really splurge, mom's love mother's rings with their birthstone being the largest in the center and the birthstones of their children surrounding their birthstone.
If mom lives far away you could send her a phone card and a book of stamps. These are nice ways to show you want to make it easier for her to stay in touch.
Another very thoughtful idea if mom lives far away is to use the Internet to locate a nice spa or hot tub place near her and get gift certificates and mail them to her. This would show you put a lot of thought into your gift.
