In recent years, decorating has become quite the rage. Oprah, Good Morning America, the Today Show, etc all have specials on how to decorate your home. The way we decorate says a lot about who we are as people. However, the cost of beauty can sometimes get fairly steep. One way to keep costs down is to incorporate nature into your décor. Use these simple inexpensive decorating tips to incorporate nature into your home style.

Decorating with Flowers
When people think of nature, usually the first thought that comes to mind is flowers. Flowers add beauty, life, and color to your home. You can have a romantic bouquet sitting on a corner coffee table, or you could have 1 sole flower sitting in a bud vase on the kitchen counter. Flowers can make a person feel right at home. When you pick your flowers, however, try to pick ones that last at least several weeks. If you want to inexpensively decorate your home, make sure you aren't constantly buying flowers. For example, steer clear of roses because they only last for about a week. Ask your local florist which flowers he/she recommends.

Decorating with Rocks
If you aren't a flower person, try rocks. Men especially gravitate towards rocks for indoor decoration. They are masculine, yet calming and serene. What is even better, you only have to purchase, or find them once. You don't have to replace your rocks because they will never die. The best thing to do with rocks is to buy a glass bowl and fill it with different colored rocks up to the top. This looks lovely on a coffee table. You could also use this as a simple centerpiece for your dining room table.

Decorating with Shells
My family visits Florida frequently. Each year we bring back handfuls of shells. These shells are not only beautiful, but they each contain special memories. Every shell was handpicked by a member of my family for it's beauty. The best way I have found to showcase your shell collection is in a large or medium sized glass vase. Fill with shells until the vase is half full. Then you can add a few sticks to complete the decoration piece.
