The words, "prenuptial agreement", are rarely viewed as romantic. This type of agreement is when a couple makes an arrangement before getting married where their belongings and money will go in case they get divorced. Many people view prenuptial agreements as an expectant of failure. Others view them as just plain smart. Now a days, it seems prenuptial agreements may become standard before every marriage.

Do Prenuptial agreements Focus on Divorce?
When bringing up the subject of divorce before marriage, most couples don't get too excited. That is exactly what a prenuptial agreement is. It makes things easier to settle once the marriage fails. Is this negative thinking? Maybe. However, with a 50% divorce rate in this country, maybe negative thinking is logical thinking.

Prenuptial Agreements with the Rich and Famous
We hear about celebrity marriages and divorces each and every day. When Britney Spears married Kevin Federline, she did not want to create a prenuptial agreement even though she was worth millions. However, she was convinced at the last moment to have one drawn. Now that she is getting a divorce, she is probably glad she had that prenuptial agreement after all. Another star that probably wouldn't sign a marriage license without a prenuptial is Donald Trump. He has been married enough to know that his marriages may not last and that he needs to protect his empire.

Can a Prenuptial Agreement Actually Be Romantic?
A romantic argument can actually be made in regards to prenuptial agreements. You can look at it in a much different light. Think about your significant other trying to protect you in case something were to happen to the marriage. Instead of focusing on what the other person will get out of it, focus on what you will gain. You will gain freedom and knowledge that your marriage is not based on money. You will know that your husband or wife did not marry you just to get half your money when he/she divorces you.
