Most of us have been trying different ways to make our electric bill decline. If you are anything like most of America, then you probably use you're electric for almost everything in your home. Some people do not realize that by doing small changes around the house, this could very well help you to save a bundle on your electric bill.

I pay close attention to all tips that I receive through people and through other information that I may receive. I have learned to make small changes that hardly effect my life and in doing so, I have cut my electric bill down drastically.

I learned that an air conditioner can cause your electric bill to sky rocket. I once read in a magazine that by keeping your air conditioner at seventy-four degrees, you can lower your electric bill. I thought that I would put this to the test. I discovered that it does indeed work. It lowered my bill by fifteen percent. This may not seem like a lot but in the end it is more than you think especially if you are like I was and your electric bill was in the one hundred range. If you are still to hot then consider adding a ceiling fan or a stand up fan for the extra flow of air.

I know that a lot of electric companies will usually send out electric saving tips for the household to use. These tips are put there for a reason. I know that they are getting rich off of the electric that we use but they are also wanting people to be more conservative when it comes to the electric because our world only has a limited supply of this and needs time to rebuild itself. I would recommend using these tips for your benefit, after all that is what they are there for.

You might want to also think about investing in a clothes line. Using your dryer to dry clothes doesn't really make a lot of sense and you are only wasting more electric when you could be using mother nature to dry your clothes. Not only do you save electric by doing this but you will also get the nice clean smell of fresh air on your clothes.
