Remote controlled or radio controlled cars can be an enjoyable way to while away a lazy afternoon, or even bring a busy day to a close. Remote controlled, or RC, cars come in many shapes and sizes; they can be expensive as well, depending on what they are outfitted with. Both adults and children can enjoy RC vehicles: children get to develop proper hand-eye coordination as they learn to use different buttons, knobs, and levers to navigate their RC vehicles, while adults can take out stress and take their boredom out for a spin.If you are interested in buying an RC vehicle, take note of the following major types of RC cars as you scout for the best RC vehicle for your needs and budget.
- Remote controlled or radio controlled trucks can be an exciting alternative to the usual RC cars. Trucks can be more difficult to control, as they are heavier and more bulky. Such cars will often have larger parts, so they are suitable even for children. If your child is starting out with RC vehicles, however, he or she may not be too patient with RC trucks, as it can be difficult to make RC trucks negotiate sharp turns.
- If you are looking for fast cars that can compete in RC vehicle competitions, then look for gas-powered RC vehicles. Such vehicles can move at speeds of fifty to sixty miles per hour, while smaller vehicles can run as fast as eighty miles per hour in a racing competition.
- If you are looking for innovative cars that do not scrimp on speed and power, then you may want to consider nitro remote controlled or nitro radio controlled cars. The fuel used to drive such cars contains nitro-methane, which burns fast and more efficiently; this allows the RC car to attain high speeds and power.
- If this is your first time to handle an RC vehicle, you may want to buy an electric RC vehicle, which is easy to control, maintain, and built. Your local toy store will even have ready to run models on which you can practice your hand-eye coordination skills before you move on to building your own RC cars.
