Summer Camp in New Bern, North Carolina

In a few short weeks summer will be here and kids will be out of school. What are you going to do? You have a job and know that you will not be at home during the day, your babysitter is on vacation, or you want your child to have the best summer possible. Well, here is your answer, summer camp.

Here we take a look at two camps that are 25 miles east of New Bern, North Carolina on the Lower Neuse River. One camp is for girls and one is for boys.

This is the boy's camp. Camp Sea Gull has a summer camp, with either a four-week resident camp, or a one-week resident camp. This camp starts on June 21, and the ages to attend are 7-16. The cost is $3480.00 with a $450.00 deposit. On the other hand, if you cannot stand the thought of being separated from your child for that long, they do offer a day camp. This is for rising first graders through fifth grade. Day camp starts the first session on June 22 and the price is $150.00 for residents and $350.00 for non-residents.

This is the camp for the girls. This camp also offers the four-week or one-week programs as well as the day camp. The prices are the same as the boy's camps and the times are the same as well.

What activities do these camps offer?

For the summer camps, you can expect your child to be on the water or in the water. A US Coast Guard qualified counselors supervise these activities. There is sailing, motor boating, swimming, golfing, tennis, and many more activities. Day camps offer basketball, soccer, fishing, shark tooth hunting, and canoing. These are activities that kids will not only love but will create lasting memories. Both camps have an impressive fleet of sailboats and motor boats from which to choose.
