America, where have we gone wrong? For those of us lucky enough to be born in this nation, I feel we have taken our freedoms and rights for granted. We hear about those who have fought or currently fight to ensure our freedoms. We are constantly reminded of their bravery, for they put their lives in harm's way for people they have never met. In return it is our responsibility, while they are gone protecting our lives, to protect their rights from overbearing watchmen. Our military performs the impossible by keeping us safe from enemies abroad: therefore we must be as vigilant when we go to the polls.
The reposed state of the American, not all though, has allowed our rights to be placed in severe danger. We have engineered ourselves away from the simple country where the individual dictates their own lives, within the law. To a country where we are governed in all of our activities, even those with in the law. We have elected persons who command us instead of us commanding them. Somewhere in the legalese we have forgotten that we pay them, and they simply do not care even when a few of us attempt to remind them. Their secured jobs give them confidence, to the point that they give themselves raise's every year. America, after you read this call your boss and tell him/her that you just gave yourself a raise and there is nothing they can do about it. Your boss cannot fire you because if they do you will still get full benefits and salary even though you will not be producing an item (see UAW, and Government). We the people have forgotten the strength of the constitution and the petty thieves we elected have completely forgotten the founding document and its boundaries. We had simple guidelines setup to protect us from an all seeing government and all we had to do to protect was to question the motives of those we elect. My good people, we have gone far too long without politicians answering questions and they have invaded our rights. We allow our good soldiers to go to war and fight for us but when they are victorious they return to a nation where the government, allowed by us, imposes laws but does not obey them.
