Confucius felt that learning was an important part of life. I am inclined to agree, one of the most notable things that can be said for learning is that, outside of the particular topic of our attention, when we learn we gain perspective. When we have perspective we are able to do whatever we are doing better, more accurately, more thoroughly. Learning causes our field of vision to expand, and the more we can see, the wiser our decisions and application of values becomes.
