Obviously you won't want to expect to meet the parents right away. But when months have passed and he's avoiding the meeting like the plague, there is something serious going on. He could be ashamed of you or ashamed of his parents, but if he's not sharing the reasons why you haven't met his parents - consider this a warning sign.

He Avoids Taking You to His Home

This is a big one. If he has been over to your house a dozen times and you still haven't even seen the outside of where he lives - he may be hiding something. It could be something as innocent as his being ashamed of a roommate or it could be as serious as his being married. Either way, he is holding back and that's not a good sign.

He Lives With His Parents

This is a classic warning sign that can often get overlooked. After all, many men have very good excuses as to why they live with their parents.
