The breath taking, Victorian town of Franklin, Pennsylvania will be holding it's annual "Applefest" on October 2, 3, and 4th 2009. Each year I take my family down to Fountain Park, located on Liberty Street in Franklin, Pennsylvania, to shop the 300+ vendors, and visit the Kids' Korner. We get to admire all the beautiful classics and rare antiques in the car show, and eat, eat, eat. There will be a variety of different foods, baking contests, and activities for all ages.

This year, one lucky couple will win an "Appley Ever After" all expense paid wedding on Liberty Street, in downtown Franklin, Pennsylvania. I personally can't wait to see who wins. Johnny Appleseed will be stopping in for a visit, the Venango County Draft Horse and Pony Association will hold their Wagon Rides, and Applefest just wouldn't be Applefest without the Apple Pie Eating Contest.

Many of the local residence of Franklin, Pennsylvania, bring their beautifully hand made items to sell at the Arts and Crafts Extravaganza. If you are looking for that special gift, look no further, there is something for everyone at Applefest. There will also be a Gigantic Book Fair, and a Used Book Sale for all the book lovers out there. The Franklin High School Marching Band will perform, and there will be several live bands for your listening pleasure and entertainment.

The Rotary Club of Franklin, Pennsylvania will hold Victorian Residential Architecture Walking Tours throughout downtown Franklin, giving the public the opportunity to see the beautiful Victorian Structures that add so much, to the beauty of Franklin, Pennsylvania. There will be an Apple Pancake Breakfast held at the First United Methodist Church on Liberty Street in downtown Franklin, and there will be a Harvest Lunch at St. Johns Episcopal Church located on Buffalo Street in Franklin, Pennsylvania.
