Paint Recipes that Can Be Made with Kids
Most kids love to paint and though there are quite a few paint options that can be purchased at stores, there is nothing quite like making easy paint recipes at home with the kids.There are many easy recipes that will make wonderful paint recipes, not only is your child going to express their creativity through the painting medium but they also have the benefit of actually helping in the creation of making the paint, it is considered total immersion in an activity!

Paint Recipe: Puffy Paint
-Flour
-Salt
-Water
-Bowl
-Food coloring or liquid tempera paint (optional)
-Squeeze bottles
Mix equal parts of the flour, salt, and water in a bowl. If you like, add food coloring or liquid tempera paint to color the paint. Pour the paint recipe into squeeze bottles. This easy recipe makes for a nice dimensional effect when painting.
Paint Recipe: Corn Syrup Paint
-4 tablespoons corn syrup
-1 1/2 teaspoons liquid dish soap
-Small container
-Liquid tempera paint or food coloring
Mix the corn syrup and dish soap in the container. Add enough liquid tempera paint or food coloring to color the paint. Use a different container for each paint recipe color.
Paint Recipe: Flour Finger Paint
-1 cup flour
-2 tablespoons salt
-Saucepan
-1 1/2 cups cold water
-Wire whisk or eggbeater
-1 1/4 cups hot water
-Food coloring or powdered tempera paint
Mix the flour and salt in the saucepan. Beat in the cold water until the mixture is smooth. Mix in the hot water and boil the mixture until it is thick, then beat it again until it is smooth. Tint the paint however you like with food coloring or powdered tempera paint. Cover the paint recipe and refrigerate it for storage. This is a super easy recipe to make at home.
Paint Recipe: Crystal Paint
-1 cup Epsom salts
-1/2 cup water
-Bowl
-Small containers or Styrofoam egg carton
-Food coloring or liquid tempera paint
