I had fun eating at Capri Cafe in Orangevale, California. This is an American restaurant with great service. There are many reasons that I like eating at Capri Café.The service is absolutely superb. The hostess greeted me with a friendly smile. She asked me how I was and if I was ready to be seated. As we were walking to the table she asked me again how my day was going, which made me feel valued as a customer. A few minutes after I was walked to my table the server came with a friendly smile and eye contact. She told me about their daily specials. She asked if I had any questions about the menu or if I was ready to order. I told her I wasn't sure what to order. She suggested some popular food items that people order. I selected the chicken potpie dish. She then asked if I wanted an appetizer. I declined the appetizer. She asked if I wanted something to drink. I told her apple juice. I thought the server was helpful and informative when it came to ordering. She took her time with me and helped me to decide on a dish that I would most likely enjoy. Soon after my order she brought me the apple juice and some bread. The timing of the food was great. I felt I didn't have to wait very long to have the food brought out to me. After she brought me my meal she checked back a few times to see if I needed anything. She also asked me if I wanted dessert. I asked her what is good. She told me her favorite is the crème brulee and the cherry cheesecake. I selected the cherry cheesecake. Before I left she thanked me for coming and told me to have a good day.
The food was excellent. The bread was fresh and delicious. The chicken potpie was hot and tasty. It had chunks of chicken, vegetables such as peas and a creamy sauce, which made it taste great. The cherry cheesecake was my favorite part of the meal. It tasted smooth and creamy.
You can order a variety of dishes such as fish, chicken, beef and pasta dishes. They serve salmon, barbecue chicken, shrimp pasta, beef stroganoff and more. The food ranges from $10 - $20 dollars.
