Summer is in full swing and many more activities are available in The State of Texas that the whole family will enjoy. From July to August, these are a few of the events lasting the rest of the summer until the school bell rings again.

Mimir Chamber Music Festival The 12th anniversary season will be held from July 9th to the 17th at the Walsh Center for Performing Arts at the PepsiCo Recital Hall in Fort Worth, Texas. The world's leading musicians from orchestras such as the Cleveland Orchestra and Van Cliburn winners will be playing beautiful chamber music. During the two weeks guest artists conduct master teaching sessions with music students during the day and the concerts are held at night. Hosted by the TCU School of Music, general admission is $25 and $15 for students and senior citizens. Visit the website, www.mimirfestival.org for concert dates and times.

What-A-Melon Festival Center, Texas hosts a fun filled festival in Downtown Historic Square on July 10th and 11th. In addition to live entertainment and food booths, the festival will have a watermelon growing and eating contest. Art and crafts from all over the county will be displayed. Admission is $2.
