Even making fun of themselves can't excuse the annoyance of those HeadOn headache commercials. We all know they make us cringe and reach for the remote when they come on, and they lend themselves to parody almost ridiculously easily. From the standpoint of cinematic excellence the HeadOn commercials rank roughly between American Psycho and The Brothers Grimm. Grim, indeed, are all three exercises in giving you a headache.

But where HeadOn differs from the other two is that they intend first to cause your headache and then provide relief in the form of a product you can buy. So, allowing that as a marketing tool the HeadOn commercials are as effective at the game of name recognition as Paris Hilton, what does the product actually accomplish? Have you tried HeadOn? I have. In a recent article, I reviewed an over the counter drug called Imitrex that simply did not work for me. In fact, it made me moody and nauseous. My doctor claims I have migraines, but I'm beginning to question that. As I stated in that previous article, I live in the vicinity of a controversial landfill run by crooked Cajuns. I talked to my doctor's assistant recently and told her I don't think my problem is migraines, I think my headaches are caused by the landfill. She responded by saying that the office has been filled with people from around here complaining of various health problems from headaches to vomiting.

On my quest to solve my headaches I decided to try out HeadOn. I liked the idea of just rubbing something across my forehead and kissing my headaches goodbye. To steal from Johnny Cash, when it comes to trying out headache medicine, I've been everywhere, man! And since nothing has worked on a regular basis, I felt compelled to give the product with the irritating commercial a try. I honestly couldn't see how just rubbing it across my forehead would cure the pain, but then again I really don't understand how a pill that winds up in your stomach can cure the pain in your head.

Takeaways
  • The application of HeadOn results in a greasy forehead, but no aroma.
  • My experience is that HeadOn does not work.
  • However, I didn't try the HeadOn Migraine variety.

if you take ony medicine that can cause headaches then theres nothing you can do about it then you actually have to wait for them to go away

I would put money on your headaches being related to the landfill. I remember when I was younger we would ride our bikes around a local elementary school, every time I got close to the dumpster next to the loading dock we used as a ramp... my ears would ring and I began to feel sick. If I were you I would complain to my municipality.

Two hours is too long to wait for headache relief. Thanks for the warning.
