Comedienne Monique Takes Flavor of Love Girls to Charm School

I will admit I was one of the millions of viewers who religiously tuned into every episode of the Flavor of Love seasons one and two. Watching weaves being pulled, ridiculous name-calling, and endless shout matches... it was like being in high school all over again.

Frankly, I really did not care who was chosen but the extent these "ladies" would go to get camera time and an opportunity to stretch out their 15 minutes was unbelievable. 

Some of the former Flavor contestants have moved on to more "lucrative" careers such as modeling, internet porn and stand-up comedy; while others have somehow fallen out of the spotlight.

Those geniuses at VH1 made the executive decision to bring back the viewers' favorite divas from both seasons and reunite them in a brand new show entitled, Charm School.

In Charm School, the women will be trained on proper etiquette and social skills each week and then later challenged on how well they can handle stressful situations. If one fails, she is eliminated and the one left standing will walk away with $50,000 and an extension of her 15 minutes.

Of course, what would a reality show be without an esteemed host?

Sorry, the over-the-top lover man, Flavor Flav will not be part of this much anticipated spin-off. After all, it is called Charm School and don't you remember how he would eat? Not exactly the smoothest brotha at the dinner table.

Who better to teach these divas how to be ladies and still make it gut-busting hilarious than the Queen of Comedy herself, Monique!

Monique is not a stranger to the reality television circuit having hosted two plus size pageants of her own, Monique's Fat Chance on the Oxygen network. Both times, the show pulled high ratings and still remains to be one of the highest rated shows on the female network.

Although best known for her wild and don't-quit-until-I-get-my-man lead character on The Parkers, she has also made appearances in feature films, Baby Boy, Two Can Play that Game, Shadowboxer and Domino with actress Keira Knightley.

The Flavor of Love girls who will attend Charm School from the semi-tamed season one are: Hottie, Goldie, Pumkin, Rain, Serious and Smiley.
