Amy's Meals: I'm in Love!
Vegetarianism chose me 105 days ago. That's when I discovered Amy's meals. What an awesome discovery! Not being much of a cook, I eat a lot of frozen stuff. Lean Cuisine used to be my favorite quickie meal, but it was not suited to my new lifestyle. My search into the vegetarian convenience foods began. Who knew I was in for such a great discovery with Amy's meals!
The best part of Amy's meals is the variety and the number of choices. The prices are very reasonable too with the frozen Amy's meals ranging from about $2.75 to $3.50 in my local area and the soups $1.88 per can.
My Amy's meals exploration began with the Mexican choices, such as burritos and black bean enchiladas because I love Mexican food. With my busy work and school schedule, by the time I think of food I'm already starving so it's great that I can just pop a burrito in the microwave for a minute and a half or a full Amy's meal for 4 or 5 minutes and I have a healthy breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Never having tried Indian food before, I was a little hesitant at first. Today I had my first Indian Mattar Paneer. It was wonderful! Now I'm ready to try the entire line of Indian meals.
I was excited to discover that Amy's meals include canned soups, desserts, pizzas and snacks.
It has been my goal to become vegan, but I'm having more than a little trouble pulling that off due to my busy schedule. I need satisfying foods that can be pulled together quickly. Vegetarianism is easy because I eat out a lot and just about every restaurant or fast food place has a vegetarian option, but vegan meals are harder to come by at a restaurant. Also, I want comfort foods, and this is a little harder for me because I haven't found a lot of vegan comfort foods...until now. Amy's meals for vegans work for me.
