Enjoy a fun filled day with your family while touring the Merry-Go-Round Museum and learning about its history and the history and art of the carousel.

Very few people can own a real horse or even a pony, but anyone can pretend -and off course that it the best and merry part of riding round on a merry-go-round. Around and around and up and down go the swift, well bred horses with bared and gleaming white teeth and proud brushed tail. Gay music fills the air and the smiling little riders add to the merriment with their laughter and shouts of joy. All too soon, the gay music and the prancing horses stop and the ride are over.

Visitors young and old to the Merry-Go-Round Museum will thrill to memories of the past, and create new memories to last a lifetime. Tour the museum and see the fascinating exhibits and learn about the about history of the carousel (merry-go-round). Watch carvers bring neglected carousel pieces back to their full beauty and restoring antique carousel figures and related items. It is loads of fun for the entire family.

The rhythmic "oom pa pa" of the band organ, and the "painted and dancing ponies" on display will thrill and enchant you. Have your smiles ready as you and your wife relive your childhood excitement and your children have a merry time when the whole family climbs aboard the working "fully restored" Allen Herschell Carousel with the band organ playing. http://www.merrygoroundmuseum.org/
