The Duggar family has added a new member, as a Duggar grandchild has been brought in to the mix. The Duggar family is the center of a TLC reality show called 18 Kids and Counting, and now the Duggar family has welcomed a new Duggar grandchild into the mix. Josh Duggar and his wife Anna revealed on the Today Show today that they are expecting a baby girl. It has been known for a while that Anna Duggar was pregnant, but the official announcement finally came via a live television interview, which seems to have become par for the course in both Gosselin and Duggar family news.The Duggar family is newer to television than some of the other families being depicted on TLC, and covers the lives of a rather large family. The clan of 18 kids and two parents is about to get even bigger when Anna Duggar gives birth to the first child of the new couple. The Duggar grandchild seems to be getting even more attention than any of the other Duggar kids has received, but that is no surprise with how much the landscape has changed when it comes to television shows depicting kids being raised in large families. 18 Kids and Counting is slowly gaining a viewership, much like some other TLC shows, and that is raising the awareness in the news of Duggar family events.
Large families are definitely getting a lot of attention on television lately, as more and more viewers become intrigued about how families this large can cope with the everyday events that we all have to deal with. One of the first to break ground in this genre of television was Jon and Kate Gosselin, who star on the show Jon and Kate Plus 8. That has become the highest rated show in the history of TLC, and with it has come a formula to depict large families in a way that viewers will keep tuning in to view. While some bad press has attracted more viewers to Jon and Kate Plus 8, it has also generated more buzz about 18 Kids and Counting, as the show strives to push family values more than extra press time.

there's a book i read, talks about envy and greed, hate, sad to see so much of it here. God is blessing the Duggar family, we should be glad for them, not want what is not ours. ie: $$, don't think we all could handle nor raise the kids the right way, do you? thought that was a tough one, is for me. the raising all the children yet they seem to do such a great job at it. We all have our own gifts, obviously theirs is what they do. Thank God for them and their kids, I love watching the insight the children have, even the younger ones, their humor, and so well manored.

God Bless the Duggar family. God Bless TLC for finally putting something on TV worth watching that has family values that you can watch with your children. I feel sorry for the people that post hateful remarks. You are not hurting the Duggars or TLC with your comments. You just make yourselves look so bad. I pity you and are embarrassed for your families.

Why is the perv. allowed to reproduce? Wake up Anna - your hubby has molested his siblings what makes you think he won't do the same to your daughter? Jim Bob & Michelle are well aware they raised a child molestor and now the country is supporting him by watching this stupid show!

If I never heard again about any families of multiples, it would be too soon. Even the lowest forms of life can mindlessly procreate -- what's the big deal?
It seems that any idiot can now get on television. Whatever happened to showcasing only people with special talents who were worth knowing something about?
I wonder what letter of the alphabet they will use for their family.
