The biggest talk of the town right now is that Britney Spears is out of Rehab. According to an Associated Press news story, "After nearly a month of seclusion in a luxurious rehabilitation center, Britney Spears has moved on. The pop star checked out of Promises Malibu Alcohol and Drug Rehab Treatment Facility "after successfully completing their program," Spears' manager, Larry Rudolph, said in a statement released by Jive Records late Tuesday".

Considering the star's pre-Promises condition, one has to wonder if one month is long enough to cure all that ails her. Before entering the Promises Malibu Alcohol and Drug Rehab Treatment Facility (the name reveals any number of problems Britney Spears may have had), she shaved her head online, had her wrist tattooed, and attacked a car with an umbrella. These are just the things she did in public.

According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, "Previous research indicates that a minimum of 90 days of treatment for residential and outpatient drug-free programs and 21 days for short-term inpatient programs is predictive of positive outcomes for adults in treatment." There are programs however, that claim they can do the job quicker:

The101program.com claims that their program can beat alcoholism in 7-14 days. It claims, "The Cause & the Cure exposes the latest research, methods, and resources used in developing the most advanced alcohol addiction treatment, The 101 Program - the Proven Orthomolecular Method of curing alcoholism and addictive biochemistry - making it the most comprehensive holistic manifesto publicly available for addressing addictive biochemistry and alcoholism treatment!"
