Glynn House Inn in Ashland, New Hampshire Review
I find myself not knowing where to start. My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Glynn House Inn located in beautiful Ashland, NH for a night. It was simply amazing. We arrived during the check-in time period and were greeted by innkeeper Pamela. She was such a delight. She began by giving us a tour of the downstairs.
The inn is beautifully decorated with a European flair. When you walk in the front door, there is an open hallway with a stuffed bear holding a welcome sign. It feels like you are walking into your own home. To the left is the dining area where tables are situated so there is plenty of room for everyone. The nice thing about the dining room is that there are tables for 2 people so that you can have privacy if you want or you can join in the conversation with other guests. The kitchen is off to the right. In there is an ice machine and ice buckets with a refrigerator stocked with soft drinks. Ice machines are a unique feature in a B&B. The kitchen is also where you can get complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate and water any time as well as DVD's to view in your room. In the sitting room there are also complimentary nuts, pretzels and sweets.
In the back of the first floor is a sitting room. The inn has complimentary wine and hors' d'oeuvres that is served in the late afternoon. We then met Glenn, the innkeeper. He is so knowledgeable in all aspects of the New Hampshire area and has a great sense of humor. He was a corporate executive who traveled around the world. Glenn gave us the tour of the rest of the inn. He showed us our room and several other rooms in the main house. Each room is exquisitely decorated and named after a United States president.
