Anna Nicole's Company Shut Down ForTax Troubles

Howard K. Stern has been trying to get access to Anna Nicole's money since before she passed away. It looks like he might be able to start spending Anna Nicole Smith's money pretty soon.

A corporation started by Anna Nicole Smith and run by Howard K. Stern owes more than $30,000 in back taxes and has been shut down by the Franchise Tax Board from doing business.

There are records from the California Secretary of State that shows Hot Smoochie Lips Inc. never filed a tax return with the State of California in 2004, and owe $28,945 in corporate taxes. Surprisingly Howard K. Stern is the company's registered agent. Anna was listed as the president. There is more to this story, read on.

The Los Angeles County Tax Collector states that Hot Smoochie Lips Inc. never paid the $8,920.54 in property taxes they owe on a home where Anna used to live. This would have been bad enough but since her company never paid taxes in 2004 and owes close to $30,000 in back taxes, it has come to the media's attention. Lately anything having to do with Anna Nicole Smith's life has been top priority with the media.

On March 1, 2007, Hot Smoochie Lips, Inc. was suspended by the Franchise Tax Board, which means they can't make any transactions what so ever. They can't do anything business related or even pay legal fees. It is not clear if any of Anna's other items, including cars, boats and other property are actually registered to Hot Smoochie Lips, Inc or to her own name.

Howard K. Stern was listed in Anna's will as the executor of her estate, which means that he may ultimately be the person responsible for paying all of Anna Nicole Smith's debts. This could end up being a good thing for Howard or a very bad thing.

Anna Nicole Smith passed away on February 8^th, 2007 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. The cause of Anna Nicole's death has been a constant controversy as of late. There has been news almost on the daily about the controversy with the DNA testing with Larry Birkhead and Dannielynn.

Anna Nicole Smith's son Daniel Smith died on September 10, 2006 in his mother's hospital room while visiting his mother and new sister.
