The injunction bars unidentified "person or persons ... who has/have been leaking information about Ms. Spears' time in a rehabilitation clinic from further disclosures invading her privacy," said Schillings, the singers laws firm in London.
The injunction was originally issued at the High Court by Judge Charles Gray. This is not the first time Spears has filed for an injunction. In late 2003 Spears obtained an injunction against one of her fans from stalking her. The fan was accused of sending her hundreds of love letters and photographs and following her to her homes.
Britney Spears left Promises Malibu Alcohol and Drug Rehab Treatment Facility in California earlier this week "after successfully completing their program," her manager, Larry Rudolph, said. He and other members of the treatment facility are asking the media to respect Spears's privacy.
Spears started her rehab on February 22nd after a series of bizarre behavior. Some of the more notable occurrences were shaving her head, getting tiny lips tattooed on her wrist and beating a car with an umbrella. Spears' has been going downhill for a long time and hopefully her session at rehab will put her on the right track.
Spears had planned to ask the court to force media such as celebrity magazines and TV shows that show stories about her time in rehab to give up their sources. She really wants to find the source of the leak "and action can be taken against him/her."
Spears' antics have made top stories ever since she divorced her rapper husband Kevin Federline. Stories of her going crazy and shaving off all her hair have been in magazines, on the internet and on TV so much that no one can avoid it. Online searches for the singer have shot up at an alarming rate. She is one of the most popular and searched for news stories on a daily basis.
