Mr. Sulaman's Sweet Shop
Embed:
Mr. Suleimans' sweet shop was on the corner of the high Street just past the school. Everyday all the children would call into the sweet shop to buy some sweets. One Saturday morning three boys went into the shop with their pocket money and it seemed they could not make up their mind what to have.
Mr. Suleiman said to the first boy
"Look at your life all candy floss spun.
Choose quantity one hundred,
For quality one!"
"I'm having one hundred!" exclaimed the first boy. Mr. Suleiman placed one hundred gob stoppers into a brown paper bag and gave it to him. Then the second boy stepped forward to the counter.
Mr. Suleiman said to the second boy
"Customer service nice and fine.
A fat one for you,
The thin ones mine!"
"Give me the fat one!" Shouted the second boy. Mr. Suleiman placed the big fat cream bun in the brown paper bag and gave it to him. Then the third little boy walked up to the counter.
Mr. Suleiman said to the third boy
The time is right for you to try.
Live it right or live a lie,
Buy or sell,
Sell or buy?
Leave it all and take the pie!
Well the third little boy didn't know what to do! Should he take the hundred gob stoppers and go and sell them at school to his friends?
Should he buy the big fat one like the other boy?
Or should he take the pie?
"Give me the gob stoppers said the third boy
The next day all the children were gathered at the river for a days outing with the school and all three boys had got their brown paper bags from Mr. Suleimans sweet shop.
All the other children gathered around the three boys asking them to share their sweets
The first boy with the gob stoppers did not mind sharing his sweets because he had got plenty but the second boy refused to share his bun but offered to sell half. The third little boy sold his gob stoppers one by one.
At the end of the day, the three boys got off the coach and went to buy more sweets from Mr. Suleiman sweet shop.
They were so looking forward to replenishing their hoard although they were very tired after the outing by the beautiful river where they had gathered at the break of day, but Mr. Suleiman had gone!
His shop had gone too!
All that was left where the shop used to be was an empty space!
