Many parents are willing to fork over excessive amounts of money to dress their children in the hottest labels. This clothing is usually worn for a short time before it is outgrown or out of season. With these tips, you will not only learn how to find great deals on boutique clothing for your kids, but also how to take care of them, resell them when they are no longer needed, and sometimes turn a profit!

First you need to find the clothes.
Ebay is full of hot brands like Gymboree, Oilily, Baby Lulu, and Janie & Jack. Sometimes you can find excellent deals on clothing listed NWT (new with tags), NWOT (new without tags), and EUC (excellent used condition). Read the listings closely and avoid items that have wear, staining, or simply look too dated. Also search for more obscure brand names, and search within the listing's title and description. Cotton Tail Originals was a brand that I frequently searched for. I purchased several darling outfits that had few, if any, bids on them because people simply did not search for that brand as frequently as other brands.

Venture to nearby wealthy communities, or affluent parts of your town. Garage sales, consignment stores, and even thrift stores in these areas are often loaded with quality apparel at low prices. Visit them often and you are certain to find terrific bargains.

Finally, consider hitting your favorite stores at the end of the season, or visiting their outlet stores. Many have deep, deep discounts as they are clearing their inventory for new merchandise. As these items are usually not appropriate for the upcoming season (for instance, swimsuits in December), buy the next size or two up so you will be ready when the appropriate season comes along.

Second, you need to take care of the clothes.
There's a reason most ebay listings state that clothes were line-dried. Dryers cause considerable wear to clothing, and line-drying -- or laying flat -- prevent damage from the heat and tumbling of your dryer. If you MUST use your dryer, set it on the fluff or no-heat setting.
