My husband and I have been golfing for several years, and have used a variety of golf products during that time. Every golfer seems to have their favorite golf clubs and golf balls, and my favorite golf balls are the
 Titelist Pro VI, which can run as high as five dollars a ball. Boy, when one of those goes into the tall grass, it's a sinking feeling.

We have used Nike, Maxifli, Callaaway, Dunlop, Pinnacle, Wilson, Top-Flite, Taylor Made, Noodle, and Bridgestone. Titelist and Callaway are by far our favorite brands, but again, they are both very expensive.

A week ago my husband and I participated in a fund raiser golf tournament, and each of us received a plastic bag full of goodies. Each of us received a sleeve of three balls of RAM Golf Balls. My gift hadRAM Tour SD Titanium Distance Golf Balls.

Description

The RAM golf balls come in a green box, and the outside reads "Soft Distance". The golf ball itself has the name RAM in bold black letters, with a red circle around the "R". Under the name it reads "Tour SD Titanium", and along the sides are marking arrows on either side of the word "Soft Distance".

What Will They Do?

There is a description on the side of the box that tells what you can expect from the RAM Golf Balls. Here are the claims:

* Titaniium Mix High Energy Core
* Softer Feel
* Spin Balanced
* Maximum Velocity
* Titanium DuPont Surlyn Cover
* Sheer Resistant
* Increased Control
* Better Green Holding
* Aerodynamic Dimple Pattern
* Maximum Lift & Distance
* True Roll
* Increased Spin

What We Experienced

These come in a box of 18 balls for around $25, depending on where they are purchased. Not a bad price. The Surlyn covers on these golf balls are plastic and made by DuPont. They help give a nice long shot off of a tee shot, they make the ball resistant to tears or cuts.

While the RAM Tour SD Titanium Golf Balls are excellent for beginners, because you can get more distance out of the balls, I have found that if you don't have a good straight swing, one that remains on plane, then you can have more problems controlling where these balls will go.
